What is parental commitment?

In order to support the mission, core values, and goals of Three Hierarchs Academy, we are asking you to become more active members of our school community. This year, each 3HA family is being asked to volunteer at least 40 hours (20 hours for qualified single-parent families) over the course of the academic year.

The opportunities may become scarce, therefore, we urge you to plan ahead. Don't wait until the end of the year, act today!

What are the benefits of being involved?

At 3HA, we believe that parent involvement and commitment is critical to student success and stronger teacher-parent-student relationships. Students of the parents, who participate in school events & activities and volunteer their time, perform significantly better at school.

Several research studies show that students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school (National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education. 2006).

Parents provide much-needed support for their children by engaging in their children's school life and collaborating with teachers, which not only creates a more positive experience for children and boosts academic performance, but also helps them develop a lifelong love of learning.
