Stamatis Apostolos (κ. Σταμάτη Ἀπόστολος)

Entering his third year at 3HA, Stamatis Apostolos comes to us, along with his wife Penelope and three children, from Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada. He is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, a professional educator offering 25 years of education experience as a High School Science Teacher, Head of Department, and Soccer Coach for the District School Board of Niagara. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Brock University, Ontario and Master of Science in Secondary Education from Niagara University, New York, USA, with specializations in Chemistry, Physics and General Sciences.

Penelope Apostolos (κα. Πηνελόπη Ἀποστόλου)

Penelope Apostolos is from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and has decided together with her husband Stamati and three children to relocate to the Sonoran Desert and teach at 3HAcademy. Penelope is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in French and English, and a Bachelor of Education. She is qualified to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions, with a specialization in French as a second language. Currently she is a French teacher with the District School Board of Niagara and a Greek language teacher at the St. Katherines Greek Orthodox Church and Community in St. Catharines, Ontario. When not busy teaching or volunteering, Penelope enjoys taking bike rides along the scenic Niagara Parkway, planning nutritious meals for her family, and looking after a coop full of chickens!

Rebecca Rome (κα. Ρεβέκκα Ρόμ)

Rebecca Rome began her teaching career at Three Hierarchs Academy when it was first established in 2018. Being born and raised in Washington State, she and her family moved to Arizona 13 years ago to be closer to the monastery. After 12 years of homeschooling her 5 children, Mrs. Rome welcomed the opportunity to teach at the academy and thoroughly enjoys being able to plan lessons related to our saints and the Orthodox faith. Being the daughter of an English teacher, her love of language arts was instilled in her at a young age. She especially loves teaching grammar and phonetics. For the 2023-2024 school year, Mrs. Rome will be teaching grades four and five combined. When she is not in school, Mrs. Rome enjoys traveling with her family, spending time at the beach, and tending to her many plants and trees.

Eleni Koulouris (κα. Ελένη Κουλούρη)

Eleni Koulouris was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She is an Arizona state certified K-8 educator, who graduated from Arizona State University in December 2008. Eleni Koulouris has over ten years of experience in the education field. She taught and tutored many children of different backgrounds and levels in different public and private schools. She also, has six years of experience teaching the Greek language in Holy Trinity Greek school as well as in Three Hierarchs Academy. This year is her fourth-year teaching in our school. Currently, she is teaching 2nd and 3rd Grade. She believes that a teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way of others. In her spare time, she loves reading, swimming, traveling, baking, and spending time with her family creating memories.

Irene Tsalikis: (κα. Ειρήνη Τσαλίκη)

Irene Tsalikis finished a 3 year University degree and a Lower Elementary Montessori Training in Toronto, Canada. She taught at a Montessori School for a few years before moving and getting married in Arizona in 2016. Once in Arizona, she also received her Upper Elementary Montessori Training and her Elementary Teaching Certificate. She taught for a few years at other schools until Three Hierarchs Academy was established in 2018 and then she taught here for a few years before taking a break to help her husband open a restaurant. Now that they sold the restaurant, she is able to return to teaching and is currently teaching Kindergarten/Frist Grade this year. In her spare time, she likes to travel with her family, swim and go hiking/walking.
